Mirena Coil
The Mirena and Kyleena coils are types of intrauterine contraceptive devices (IUDs). The Mirena coil can provide contraception for up to 8 years, and can help to manage heavy or painful periods. The Kyleena is a smaller device with a lower dose of hormone and lasts for 5 years. If you are interested in having an IUD inserted please book an appointment for a consultation and pelvic exam. If a coil is suitable for you an appointment will then be arranged for insertion of the coil. A follow up appointment is arranged 6 weeks after insertion of a coil.
